Moscow, Jan. 28 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa arrived in Moscow on Wednesday for an official visit to hold talks with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. The discussions will focus on bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.

President al-Sharaa is accompanied by a delegation that includes Maher al-Sharaa, Secretary-General of the Presidency; Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Major General Murhaf Abu Qasra, Minister of Defense; Ahmad Dukhan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Turkish Affairs; Ashhad al-Salibi, Deputy Director of the Russia Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Muayyad al-Hassan, Head of Supply of the Syrian Arab Army.

President al-Sharaa previously visited Moscow on October 15 last year and discussed with President Putin at the Kremlin ways to enhance strategic cooperation across various fields.

President Putin, in turn, praised the longstanding relations between Russia and Syria and called for resuming the activities of the Russian-Syrian Joint Governmental Committee to further strengthen bilateral ties.
