Higher Education Ministry extends applying period for scholarships offered by Iraqi Universities

Damascus, SANA- Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry announced Tuesday the extension of applying period for scholarships offered by Iraqi universities for postgraduate studies until July the 1st.

“These scholarships came as a part of the 3rd edition of “Study in Iraq” program, for the academic year 2025-2026, as part of Iraq’s efforts to enhance cultural exchange and international cooperation”, the ministry said in a statement o SANA.

The statement added that the program aims to provide scholarships in various specializations, including housing, visas, residency, and health insurance at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Iraqi universities, within three study choices: free scholarships, semi-free scholarships, and private expenses.

The Ministry noted that registration can be done through the program official website via the electronic link below:

On May 25th, the ministry announced that Iraqi universities offered scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
