Internal security forces in Homs discovered underground prison in al-Mukharram area of Homs Governorate used during the former regime to detain civilians, officials said
Omar Al-Mousa, Assistant Director of al-Mukharram District, told SANA on Monday that the discovery of the prison occurred recently in Buwaydat Salamiyah during police patrols conducting inspections operation in the area.
Al-Mousa pointed out that the prison is an underground cave with a sealed iron door, it contains items and tools used for torture, including sticks and ropes, noting that the site is connected to a tunnel five meters deep and forty meters long.
