Turkey: Israel targets journalists to hide “crimes”

Ankara – SANA

Turkey accused Israel on Wednesday of targeting journalists to hide its “crimes” against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

In a condolence message posted on the Turkish platform “NSosyal” following the killing of journalist Yahya Barzak in Deir al-Balah, the head of communications at the Turkish Presidency, Burhanettin Duran, said that “the brutal entity adds yet another war crime to its daily atrocities.”

“It will be held accountable not only in the conscience of humanity, but also before international law,” he added.

He warned the Israeli government that in its “systematic attacks against journalists, it will never succeed in suppressing the truth or hiding its crimes against humanity and acts of genocide.”

The Israeli aggression on Gaza has caused the deaths of over 66,000 Palestinians and the injury of more than 168,000 others, the majority of whom are children and women.
