London, SANA – The British envoy to Syria, Ann Snow, expressed on Tuesday her country’s solidarity with the Syrian people affected by the forest fires in the Sahel region.
In a post on the “X” platform, Snow said: “The UK stands in solidarity with the Syrian communities affected by the massive wildfires in Latakia, and we applaud the heroic efforts of local authorities, emergency services and all response teams to contain the fires and protect lives.”
Snow added: “I have been deeply moved by the courage of the firefighters and local authorities who have been battling the wildfires for six days, and my heartfelt condolences go out to the affected communities and all those who are risking their lives to protect them.”
