New York, SANA- The Security Council renewed Monday the mandate of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in the occupied Syrian Golan for six months.
UN news center said that the council unanimously adopted the resolution 2782 that extends the UNDOF mandate.
UNDOF was established in 31 May 1974 and since then the UN forces continued monitoring the implementation of Disengagement of Forces Agreement.
The head of UN Peacekeeping Jean-Pierre Lacroix affirmed last week the critical role played by the UNDOF in monitoring the Disengagement Agreement.
