Damascus, SANA-On Thursday, Minister of Transport, Dr.Yarub Badr, received two separate phone calls, from the Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, and the Qatari Minister of Transport, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani, during which they expressed their countries’ support for the efforts made by the Syrian Ministry of Transport to develop land transport services at all levels.
During the two calls, the possibility of holding bilateral ministerial meetings after the Eid al-Adha holiday was discussed, with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation and improving transportation services for Syrian citizens, in addition to discussing ways to reconnect land transport networks in Syria and neighboring countries, in a way that enhances transit movement and the exchange of goods across Syrian territory.
Minister Badr stressed Syria’s keenness to open up and cooperate with brotherly Arab countries in the transportation sector, in a way that contributes to supporting economic development and regional integration, pointing to the importance of the role of transportation in strengthening trade and logistical ties between countries.
