Homs, SANA-Homs governor Dr. Abdul Rahman al-Ama discussed with Italian Chargé d’Affaires in Damascus, Stefano Ravagnan,, ways of joint cooperation within the framework of the reconstruction project, in light of recent developments related to the lifting of US sanctions on Syria.
During the meeting, the talks dealt with economic aspects related to reconstruction in various sectors, with a focus on urban planning and city planning. A comprehensive vision for the post-war phase was presented, based on developing balanced infrastructure and starting from small urban areas to relieve pressure on major cities.
They also discussed the importance of preserving the historical identity of Homs governorate by rebuilding historic centers using modern and advanced technologies, in addition to cooperation in training and qualifying local cadres for effective participation in future development projects.
The two sides also affirmed the importance of continued coordination and cooperation, reflecting their commitment to supporting recovery and sustainable development efforts in Homs governorate.
