Deir Ezzor, SANA-Three police personnel were martyred, and two others were injured in an explosion that occurred near the police station in al-Mayadeen city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
“At 7:13 p.m., Sunday, an explosion occurred near the al-Mayadeen police station. Initial investigations and an inspection of the site revealed that it was caused by a car bomb, resulting in the deaths of three members of the General Security and several of injuries,” the director of the Al-Mayadeen city, Khalil Abdul-Moneim al-Ayoub, said in a statement.
He added, “Security forces rushed to secure the site of the blast and complete the investigation. We assure our people in al-Mayadeen that the treacherous hand will not escape punishment and that we are vigilant to protect the country and its people.”.
