Jordan welcomes President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Syria

Jordan welcomes President Trump's decision to lift sanctions on Syria

Amman, SANA- The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has expressed its welcome for U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of lifting sanctions on Syria.

According to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the ministry’s spokesperson Ambassador Dr. Sufyan al-Qudah affirmed that the U.S. president’s decision represents an important step toward Syria’s reconstruction and opens new avenues for economic cooperation between Syria and the world, contributing to prosperity and growth for the brotherly Syrian people.

Ambassador al-Qudah also reaffirmed Jordan’s unwavering support for Syria and its people in rebuilding their homeland based on principles that ensure Syria’s unity, security, stability, and territorial integrity.
