Damascus, SANA- Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Rahman al-Dabbagh, Head of Damascus Security Department, stated that based on information received about the presence of an outlaw group in the Masaken Barzeh area of Damascus, the accuracy of this information was verified, and the movements of the cell members were monitored.
Subsequently, security units carried out a raid on the site where the group was fortified.
According to the Ministry of Interior’s Telegram channel, Lieutenant Colonel al-Dabbagh added that the operation resulted in the arrest of several wanted individuals and the seizure of weapons and ammunition in their possession, which were intended for use in acts aimed at terrorizing peaceful citizens.
The arrested individuals will be referred to the Public Prosecution for necessary legal procedures and to face justice.
