Protests in Daraa condemn Israeli attacks

Daraa, SANA-Several protests were held in Daraa Friday to condemn the Israeli attacks and mourn the martyrs who were killed in the brutal shelling of the al-Jabiliyah Dam forest, located between the city of Nawa and the town of Tasil, west of the province.

Residents of the town of Ma’araba held a protest at the Grand Mosque after performing the funeral prayer for the martyrs. They affirmed their rejection of the Israeli occupation and the targeting of innocent civilians.

In the city of Jassem, residents performed the funeral prayer for the martyrs at Al-Ansar Mosque. They expressed their condemnation of the repeated Israeli crimes against Syrians and called for Arab and international action to stop them.

The town of Al-Hirak also held a protest after Friday prayers, during which protesters raised the national flag and chanted slogans denouncing the ongoing Israeli escalation inside Syrian territory.

The locals in the town of Qarfa called for holding the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes and for justice to be swiftly served against those involved in previous murders and kidnappings.

In the towns of Mata’iyeh and Jleen, participants in the protest affirmed their support for the people of Nawa and their solidarity with the families of the martyrs. They condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks, emphasizing the Syrian people’s adherence to their right to defend their land and sovereignty.
