First phase of the agreement between Damascus and the SDF leads to release of 200 prisoners

Aleppo, SANA- Director of the Interior Security Directorate in Aleppo, Colonel Mohammed Abdul Ghani, announced the release of more than 200 detainees in the first phase of the agreement reached between the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on March 10, 2025.

The agreement stipulates the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces into the institutions of the Syrian Arab Republic, and confirms the unity of Syrian territory and rejects division.First phase of the agreement between Damascus and the SDF leads to release of 200 prisoners

“we congratulate the detainees on their freedom, and we emphasize that this is only the first stage, and there are other stages through which all prisons will be emptied, significant efforts are being made to release all Syrians detained by all parties and return them to their homes and families, with the aim of strengthening civil peace and restoring normal life, in addition to facilitating the entry of Syrian state institutions into all regions of Syria,” Abdul Ghani said at a press conference in Aleppo on Thursday.

He added:”We are also working to implement all the provisions of the agreement, in a way that achieves the unity of Syrian territory, security, safety, stability, and prosperity for our Syrian people, with all their components and sects.”
