Kyiv, SANA-Ukraine welcomed the formation of the new government in Syria, considering this step an important development in the country’s comprehensive national process.
“This step represents another important stage in the framework of the comprehensive national process initiated by the National Dialogue Conference and the adoption of the Constitutional Declaration,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement citied by the Ukrainian News Agency, noting that building strong state institutions based on inclusiveness will lead to implementation of the reforms aspired to by the Syrian people and prevent any foreign interference or attempts to destabilize the country.
The Ministry reiterated Ukraine’s support for the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and reaffirmed Kiev’s readiness to develop cooperation with Damascus and to continue to support the Syrian people in their path towards stability and development.
