Turkish Vice President: Former regime remnants won’t obstruct Syria's historic transfo

Ankara, SANA- Turkish Vice President, Cevdet Yilmaz has affirmed that the remnants of the former regime in Syria, and any entity acting outside the law, will not be able to obstruct the historic transformation in the country.

Anadolu Agency quoted Yilmaz as saying in a statement on X platform: “The events that have taken place in Syria in recent days have saddened everyone,” stressing that “the parties seeking to incite conflict among the Syrian people based on ethnic and sectarian identities and undermine its stability will not succeed.”

The Turkish Vice President noted that “achieving stability and prosperity in Syria in an atmosphere of unity is not only a brotherly wish but also a requirement of Turkish national security,” and explained that “the stronger the Syrian government and its institutions become, the more Syria’s stability will be enhanced.”
