Damascus, SANA- Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Dr. Mohammad Taha al-Ahmad, discussed Tuesday with Regional Director of Mercy Corps, Mathieu Rouquette, and Director of the organization’s branch in Damascus, Omar al-Tal, the problems facing the agricultural sector.
The ministry explained through its Telegram channel that Rouquette presented during the meeting one of the programs that help solving the agricultural sector problems using technology.
The program is a “website” that operates via satellites, capable of determining the physical condition of the soil, and providing accurate analyses, including salinity levels, water absorption, and plant health.
Rouquette confirmed the organization’s readiness to train staff on using the program.
