Kuwait, SANA- Syrian civil defense organization participated in the Six Arab Regional Forum for disaster Risk Reduction (DRR (that kicked off on Monday under the theme “building resilient Arab communities ..from understanding to action” in Kuwait.
The event, organized jointly by the government of Kuwait the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction and the Arab League, Syrian civil defense organizations said in a post on its official Telegram channel.
During his participation, the organization’s Senior Program Manager, Ahmad Qaziz, spoke about the Syrian Civil Defense’s experience and its efforts in reducing disasters, and explained the mechanism that is currently being built in Syria to predict risks and reduce their impact on communities.
Nearly 800 participants including decision-makers, experts, international and national representatives as well as Arab ministers and heads of diplomatic missions are attending the forum that is running February 9 to 12 .
