Damascus-SANA-The Syrian Civil Defense held several events today on the second anniversary of the devastating earthquake that struck Syria and southern Turkey on February 6, 2023.
The Civil Defense stated on its Telegram channel that its volunteers participated in a community event to commemorate the painful anniversary in the city of Jandaris in the countryside of Afrin, which was one of the most affected Syrian cities by the earthquake.
These events come within the efforts of the Civil Defense to commemorate the victims and show solidarity with their families and survivors, and to shed light on the scale of the disaster and the increasing humanitarian needs.
February 6 earthquake claimed the lives of more than 4,500 people, with a figure of injured citizens exceeded 10,400 in various Syrian regions.
