Debra Tice: New leadership in Syria determined to return my son

Damascus, SANA-Debra Tice, mother of the American journalist Austin Tice, who has been missing by the former overthrown regime since 2012, said that the Syrian authorities are “determined” to return her son.

“During the time I spent in Damascus, I was honored to meet the new Syrian leadership, and it was wonderful to know that they are committed and determined to return my son and your son to his home,” Agence France-Presse quoted Tice as saying in a press conference following her meeting with leader of the new administration in Syria, Ahmad al-Sharaa.

She expressed her hope that the administration of new US President Donald Trump would be very committed to working to return Austin to his home.
