The meeting, held at Agriculture Ministry Headquarters in Damascus on Wednesday, addressed the most important problems facing the agricultural sector, in addition to the formation of a specialized agricultural committee to exchange expertise that meets the needs of this sector, Dr. al-Ahamd told SANA in a statement.

Al-Ahmad underscored that it was agreed to form a joint bank to support farmers by providing them with financial loans in order to reach the recovery stage, stressing that Syria will witness a clear development in the agricultural sector during four months similar to what happened in Idleb.

In turn, Minister Koval said that this visit aimed at helping the Syrian people, as it was suggested that the Syrian side provide a list of the agricultural materials required for them, in addition to determining mechanisms for bank transfers between the two countries to facilitate the work of the proposed committee, stressing that his country build sustainable relations in all fields with Syria.
