Sweida, Oct. 30 (SANA) Several civilians were injured in armed clashes between outlaw groups in the southern Syrian city of Sweida on Thursday, after a dispute over a fuel-selling outlet escalated into violence across several neighborhoods, local sources said.
The Sweida Media Directorate told SANA that the clashes spread from the al-Maqous neighborhood in eastern Sweida to the city’s main market and the al-Mashwarab neighborhood.
Local sources said the fighting began after a dispute between members of the Abu Sarhan and Radwan families over a fuel-selling outlet.
According to the sources, members of the Abu Sarhan family opened fire on a member of the Radwan family and seized his vehicle, triggering wider armed clashes.
A lawyer was among the civilians injured in the violence, the sources added.
