Damascus, Sept. 29 (SANA) Thirteen people were injured in 19 road accidents across Syria over the past 24 hours, the Syrian Civil Defense said Tuesday. Its teams also responded to 52 fires, with no civilian injuries reported.
In a statement on Telegram, the Civil Defense said its teams gave the accident victims first aid, took them to hospitals, cleared debris and secured the sites.
The fires affected homes, shops, grass, trees, rubbish and electrical wiring. Teams extinguished the fires and cooled the sites, the statement said. Damage was limited to property.
The Civil Defense urged residents not to light fires in forests or agricultural fields or discard cigarette butts and glass containers along roads, particularly near crops and wooded areas. It also advised them to remove dry grass around homes and roads safely rather than burn it.
On Sunday, 31 people were injured in fires and road accidents across Syria, according to the Civil Defense.
