Latakia, Sept. 23 (SANA) Syrian authorities have arrested two major drug traffickers in Latakia province and seized a large quantity of narcotics, anti-narcotics authorities said Wednesday.
The Latakia Drug Enforcement Department carried out a security operation that led to the arrest of the two suspects, according to the directorate.
Authorities seized 90 kilograms of hashish, 15,000 Captagon pills and a quantity of crystal methamphetamine.
The arrested and seized narcotics were referred to judicial authorities for legal action.
Earlier this month, the Drug Enforcement Department in Homs arrested two people accused of involvement in drug trafficking and distribution.
