Sweida, Sept. 20 (SANA) Two water wells in the villages of Jbeib and Kharba in western Sweida countryside returned to service on Sunday after comprehensive maintenance, improving drinking-water supplies in the area.
Sweida Governorate said on its Telegram channel that the wells were brought back online after their pumps were repaired and reinstalled.
The maintenance was carried out under the direction of Sweida Governor Mustafa al-Bakour and supervised by the deputy director of the Sweida district.
The work is part of ongoing efforts to stabilize water supplies, improve access to drinking water for local residents and maintain wells and water infrastructure across the province.
On Sept. 9, authorities also brought the al-Mazraa 2 well in western Sweida countryside into service after completing its rehabilitation and equipment work to strengthen water infrastructure in the area.
