Aleppo, Sept. 14 (SANA) A community fundraising campaign in Kafr Hamra in northern Aleppo countryside has raised more than $1.5 million in cash and in-kind donations to fund infrastructure and essential services, organizers said.

The “Loyalty to Kafr Hamra” campaign concluded its three-day drive on Sunday, with proceeds earmarked for projects including sewage and water networks, roads, schools and healthcare facilities.

Khaled Jaghl, director of the Hreitan subdistrict and representative of the northern Jabal Samaan area, told SANA the campaign was organized in cooperation with the local community committee, dignitaries and residents under the patronage of the “Aleppo, Mother of All” campaign.

Priority projects include repairing sewage and water networks, widening and rehabilitating roads, installing street lighting and planting trees, as well as supporting the education and health sectors, Jaghl said.

Campaign organizer Sobhi Masto said the initiative was launched to address Kafr Hamra’s most pressing service needs, particularly its sewage system, roads, schools, health center and water network.

Abdulilah al-Qadi, a member of the town’s community committee, said local authorities, community representatives and dignitaries would coordinate implementation to ensure donations are directed to priority projects.

The broader “Aleppo, the best of All” campaign raised more than $426 million last December to support infrastructure rehabilitation and public services, with projects in healthcare, afforestation and other services carried out this year
