Damascus, Aug. 21 (SANA) Three people were killed and 24 others injured in traffic accidents and fires across Syria over the past 24 hours, the Civil Defense said.
The Civil Defense said Friday its teams responded to 21 traffic accidents that killed three civilians and injured 22 others, providing first aid, transporting the injured to hospitals and securing accident sites.
Teams also responded to 122 fires in homes, shops, grasslands, trees, garbage sites and electrical wiring across Syrian provinces.
Two firefighters were injured and received first aid, while other damage from the fires was limited to property losses.
The Civil Defense urged people to avoid lighting fires in forests and agricultural fields, discarding cigarette butts or glass containers near crops and forests, and burning dry grass near homes or roads.
It had earlier reported two people killed and 27 others injured in fires and traffic accidents across Syria.
