Damascus, Aug. 7 (SANA) Minister of Emergency and Disasters Management Raed al-Saleh confirmed on Thursday that ministry response teams were deployed following a bombing that targeted a passenger bus in Jaramana in the Damascus countryside.
Initial reports indicated that seven people were injured. The Damascus Countryside Health Directorate later announced that the final toll had risen to 14 injuries, confirming that no fatalities were recorded.
In a post on the X platform, al-Saleh said, “These tragic incidents will not deter Syrians from continuing their path of reconstruction and recovery, nor from bolstering security and stability.”
He stressed that Syria would remain strong and steadfast as it moves confidently toward a safer and more prosperous future, drawing strength from the will of its people, the unity of its citizens, and their unwavering resolve to overcome all challenges.
