24 injured in traffic accidents and fires across Syria over 24 hours

Damascus, June 30 (SANA) Twenty-four people were injured in traffic accidents and fires across Syria over the past 24 hours, the Syrian Civil Defense said on Tuesday.

In a statement posted on its Telegram channel, the Civil Defense said emergency teams responded to 18 traffic accidents, in which 18 people were injured. The wounded received first aid before being transferred to hospitals for treatment, while rescue crews cleared and secured the accident sites.

During the same period, Civil Defense teams also responded to 265 fires, including 33 involving agricultural fields and crops. The remaining 232 fires occurred in homes, commercial premises, vegetation, trees, rubbish sites and electrical installations.

Six people were injured in the fire incidents and received first aid at the scene. The remaining damage was limited to property losses, according to the Civil Defense.

On Sunday, 26 people were injured in separate traffic accidents and fire incidents across several parts of Syria, the Civil Defense said.
