Tartous, June 7 (SANA) Al-Azq River, also known as Al-Azq Spring, is a popular destination for visitors seeking a blend of natural scenery and outdoor recreation in Tartous countryside.

Located near the village of Al-Awiniyah, close to the Bmalkeh area, about 5 kilometers from the city of Tartous, the site is known for its peaceful atmosphere and lush surroundings.

The river is lined with dense vegetation and towering trees that provide natural shade along the watercourse, creating an environment well suited for relaxation and family outings.

Visitors are drawn to the area for swimming, picnicking and spending time in nature, while the riverbanks also host traditional rural activities that reflect the character of the surrounding countryside.

Combining forest landscapes, flowing water and open green spaces, Al-Azq River remains one of the distinctive natural attractions in Syria’s coastal region and a favored destination during the warmer months.
