Kuwait’s Crown Prince: GCC welcomes positive developments in Syria and reaffirms suppor

Kuala Lumpur, SANA-Kuwait’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah, affirmed that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) welcomes the positive developments in Syria and supports efforts to achieve stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

In his speech at the second summit between the GCC and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), held Tuesday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and reported by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), his Highness said that “The GCC countries welcome the positive developments in Syria and reaffirm their support for all efforts aimed at achieving security, stability, and preserving Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, ensuring the safety and prosperity of the Syrian people.”

Regarding Palestine issue, the Crown Prince called on the international community to uphold its legal and ethical responsibilities, exert necessary pressure to halt Israeli aggression on Gaza, and implement international resolutions related to the Palestinian cause.
