Damascus, June 01 (SANA) Syria’s Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Murhaf Abu Qasra said the Ministry of Defense has maintained a presence in Deir Ezzor province through a number of its land and air formations since the first hours of the Euphrates River’s water level rising.
Minister Abu Qasra said, in a post on X, that ministry units continue to carry out rescue, transport, and assistance operations, in addition to engineering work along the course of the river across the province.
He added that Defense Ministry formations are working side by side with personnel from other state institutions and ministries involved in the emergency response.
