Sweida, May 31 (SANA) Sweida Governor Mustafa al-Bakkour announced on Sunday the reopening of the Sweida–al-Mazraa road, via the village of Walgha, to vehicle and civilian traffic, effective immediately.
The reopening followed joint efforts by the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management and the Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, al-Bakkour said in a statement to SANA.
The governor noted that the relevant authorities had coordinated the removal of all earth berms, barriers, and obstacles that had previously obstructed the route, while carrying out the necessary preparations to ensure the road is safe and fully operational.
Al-Bakkour added that Internal Security Forces have secured the entire road by deploying fixed and mobile patrols, as well as monitoring points, to safeguard travelers and protect public and private property.
