Three killed, 21 injured in traffic accidents; 45 fires reported across Syria
Syrian civil defense teams responded to deadly traffic accidents and dozens of fires nationwide in the past 24 hours.

Provinces, May 16 (SANA) Three people were killed and 21 others injured in 12 traffic accidents reported across Syria over the past 24 hours, according to Syria’s Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management.

The Syrian Civil Defense said that its teams provided first aid to nine injured people before transferring them to hospitals, while others were taken by local residents. Crews also cleared accident sites and secured the affected areas.

firefighters responded to 45 fires nationwide, including 17 in homes and commercial shops, while the remaining incidents involved dry grass, garbage, and electrical wires.

Authorities said no civilian injuries were reported in the fire incidents, with losses limited to property damage. Civil defense teams also renewed warnings against unsafe fire practices near forests and farmland.
