Ankara, Dec.11 (SANA) Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, affirmed that Israel’s repeated assaults on Syrian territory, including ground incursions in the south of the country, constitute a clear violation of international law and a direct threat to regional stability.
Fidan in an interview with al-Jazeera TV Thursday, said that these assaults reveal an expansionist plan targeting Syria’s unity and sovereignty, at a time when the Syrian government continues efforts to rebuild the economy after the lifting of U.S. sanctions.
He pointed out that the political scene in Syria faces serious complications as a result of those assaults, explaining that the incursions around Beit Jinn and Mount Hermon obstruct any path toward a political solution.
