Damascus, May 8 (SANA) Syria’s Ministry of Administrative Development and the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) concluded two days of technical meetings on Thursday focused on legislative reform, institutional restructuring and modernization of public administration.
The meetings, held in Damascus, ended with agreement on several priorities for future cooperation, including regulatory reform, organizational development and human resources management.
Discussions on the second day focused on government leadership development and strategies for preparing officials capable of managing institutional change and improving administrative performance. Participants also reviewed ways to link professional development with institutional performance goals and translate reform priorities into practical cooperation programs.
Administrative Development Minister Mohammad Hassan al-Sakkaf told SANA the ministry was working to strengthen local and international partnerships aimed at improving institutional performance and increasing public-sector efficiency.
Representatives of the European Public Law Organization stressed the importance of building on the outcomes of the meetings through joint implementation programs and follow-up mechanisms.
Both sides agreed to continue technical coordination and launch a structured follow-up process aimed at turning the discussions into practical steps supporting government reform and institutional efficiency.
The meetings follow a preliminary session held earlier this year on legislative and organizational reform and modernization of public-sector human resources management.
The European Public Law Organization is an international organization focused on promoting the rule of law, human rights and democratic institutions through legal education, international cooperation and institutional capacity building.
