The Hague, May 7 (SANA) Syrian Justice Minister Mazhar al-Wais participated in the main session of the Justice Matters conference held at the Peace Palace in The Hague, where discussions focused on the role of justice in addressing crises and promoting stability in the Middle East.
The conference addressed the continued decline in global peace and rising levels of conflict and instability, emphasizing the importance of justice, accountability and access to legal mechanisms as foundations for sustainable peace and conflict prevention.
Participants also discussed the role of international cooperation, diplomacy and local dispute-resolution mechanisms in supporting stability in fragile and conflict-affected regions.
Organizers said the conference aims to promote dialogue on the relationship between justice, peacebuilding and conflict prevention, particularly in polarized and fragile environments.
