Damascus, May 5 (SANA) A coordination meeting was held at the Presidential General Secretariat on Tuesday , bringing together the Syrian Development Fund and the Ministries of Health, Education and Emergency and Disaster Management to outline priorities for service and development projects.
According to a statement posted on the Secretariat’s Telegram channel, the meeting focused on directing donor funding toward key national needs, with emphasis on continuous monitoring and periodic oversight to ensure adherence to implementation timelines.
Participants stressed the importance of financial transparency and efficient use of resources to maximize the impact of available funding.


The discussions highlighted the need for long-term initiatives to strengthen sustainability and ensure the continuity of essential services beyond the duration of external support.
The Syrian Development Fund plays a key role in reconstruction efforts, including infrastructure rehabilitation, support for the health and education sectors, and strengthening food security through agricultural initiatives and assistance to small-scale producers. It also contributes to enhancing national readiness to respond to emergencies in coordination with relevant authorities.
