Syria’s Justice minister meets Libyan envoy, Human Rights Watch to boost cooperation

Damascus, May 4 (SANA) Minister of Justice Mazhar al-Wais met on Sunday with Libyan Ambassador to Damascus Walid Ammar and a delegation from Human Rights Watch to discuss cooperation.

Syria’s Justice minister meets Libyan envoy, Human Rights Watch to boost cooperation

During the meeting with the Libyan ambassador the minister discussed ways to support joint training programs and expand coordination in judicial fields, as well as efforts to strengthen the rule of law.

Al-Wais also met a Human Rights Watch delegation that included Program Director Lama Fakih and other members. The discussions covered a range of human rights issues and ways to enhance cooperation in justice and human rights.

The meeting is part of ongoing cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the organization, as Syria pursues efforts to develop its judicial system in line with international standards.
