Quneitra, May 2 (SANA)    Israeli occupation forces shelled areas in the countryside of Quneitra and Daraa on Saturday evening, using a number of artillery rounds.

SANA’s reporter in Quneitra said the shells were fired from inside the occupied Syrian Golan, with three rounds landing near Kudna forest while others struck the area of Tal al-Ahmar al-Sharqi and al-Rafid town, without causing injuries.

In Daraa, SANA reporter said the occupation forces targeted the outskirts of Jamla village in the Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of the governorate with an artillery shell.

On Friday, Israeli occupation forces targeted the vicinity of al-Mantara dam in the northern countryside of Quneitra with several mortar shells.

Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into southern Syria and attacks on civilians, including raids, arrests, land bulldozing, and the use of mortar and artillery shelling.

Syria has repeatedly called for an end to the Israeli occupation of its territories, stressing that all measures taken by the occupation in southern Syria are null and void and carry no legal effect under international law. It also urges the international community to assume its responsibilities, deter such practices, and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
