Quneitra, May 1 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces targeted the vicinity of al-Mantara Dam in the northern countryside of Quneitra on Friday with a number of mortar shells.
SANA’s correspondent reported that five mortar rounds were fired, landing west of the dam without causing any casualties.
In a related development, an Israeli occupation force conducted an incursion on Thursday evening into the town of Jamlah in the Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa, before later withdrawing.
Israel continues its aggressions and violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, targeting civilians via raids, arrests, land bulldozing, and the use of mortar and artillery fire, among other criminal practices.
Syria has consistently called for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, affirming that all measures taken by the occupation in southern Syria are null and void and carry no legal effect under international law. It has also urged the international community to assume its responsibilities, deter these violations, and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
