Daraa, May 1 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces briefly advanced into the village of Jamlah in the Yarmouk Basin area in western Daraa countryside on Thursday evening before withdrawing.
SANA’s reporter in Daraa said the incursion reached the outskirts of the village over a short distance and triggered panic among residents, amid Israeli military activity in the nearby border area.
On 28 April, around 20 Israeli vehicles had also advanced into the village of Ma’ariya in the same area, where they patrolled streets under drone cover before withdrawing.
Israel has continued to carry out repeated incursions into southern Syria in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, along with raids, arrests, and land clearing operations.
Syria has repeatedly called for Israel’s withdrawal from its territory, stressing that all Israeli actions are null and void under international law. It has also urged the international community to intervene to stop the violations and ensure compliance with international agreements.
