Female recruits begin training at the Women’s Police Institute in Damascus

Damascus, April 21 (SANA) The Women’s Police Institute has begun implementing its scheduled training program for the first batch of female police recruits, the Interior Ministry said Tuesday via its Telegram channel.

The ministry said the recruits were received through organized procedures in a structured and disciplined environment, with training starting immediately after admission.

The program includes intensive military and physical training aimed at improving fitness and field readiness, alongside legal and policing studies to ensure duties are carried out within professional and legal frameworks.

It also places emphasis on conduct, communication skills and discipline in line with the specific requirements of women’s roles in security work.

The ministry said the intake is part of a broader strategy to strengthen women’s participation in the security sector and to supply various units with qualified female personnel capable of supporting public order.
