Istanbul, April 17 (SANA) Turkish Airlines announced on Friday that it will resume its flights to the city of Aleppo in northern Syria starting April 22.
According to the Anadolu Agency, the decision to resume flights to Aleppo came after several Middle Eastern countries, including Syria, reopened their airspace for civilian aviation following closures caused by the conflict between the U.S. and Israel on one side and Iran on the other.
The airline’s website has begun listing tickets for Aleppo.
On March 2, Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced the suspension of Turkish airline flights to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan due to regional security risks.
