Riyadh, April 17 (SANA) – The Muslim World League welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire in Lebanon, which was announced by US President Donald Trump, reaffirming its full solidarity with Lebanon in its efforts to achieve security, stability and full sovereignty over all its territory.

In a statement published Friday on its official website, the League’s Secretary-General Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa said the step represents a positive development that supports peaceful solutions and helps spare civilian lives.

Al-Issa called on all parties to fully commit to the agreement as a step toward restoring lasting stability to brotherly Lebanon.

The ceasefire entered into force Thursday for a period of 10 days and was met with broad Arab and international welcome.
