Antalya, April 17 (SANA) Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa met Friday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the accompanying Turkish delegation on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2026).
The meeting was attended by Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani and Head of the General Intelligence Service Hussein al-Salama.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties and expand cooperation across various sectors in a manner that serves the common interests of the Syrian and Turkish peoples and contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region.
President al-Sharaa said: “I met President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during my participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where we discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and develop cooperation in various fields, in a manner that enhances regional partnerships and serves the common interests of our two countries.”
President al-Sharaa is taking part in the fifth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which opened Friday. He also held a number of meetings with participating presidents and ministers.
