Amman, April 12 (SANA) Syria and Jordan signed nine agreements and memoranda of understanding covering key sectors during a ministerial meeting of the Higher Coordination Council held in Amman on Sunday, as both sides moved to deepen bilateral cooperation.
The agreements span sectors including industry, trade, media, justice, higher education, health, tourism, postal services and social development, as well as cooperation in corporate and endowment sectors.
The signing came during the second session of the Syrian-Jordanian Higher Coordination Council, which convened with the participation of official delegations from both countries.
Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani arrived earlier in the day, leading a ministerial delegation to take part in the talks. He was received by Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and held discussions ahead of the session.
The meeting reflects ongoing efforts by both countries to expand coordination and strengthen ties across multiple sectors.
