Damascus, April 8 (SANA) Aleppo International Airport handled more than 25,000 passengers in March across 194 flights, Syria’s Civil Aviation and Air Transport Authority said Wednesday.

The authority reported that 12,055 passengers departed from the airport, while 13,040 arrived in the same period. Officials said the figures reflect steady activity at the facility as air travel to and from the northern city continues to grow.

The airport is maintaining high operational performance, according to the authority, which said efforts are underway to improve ground service quality and expand its flight network.

The upgrades aim to support passenger travel, commercial transport and tourism, and to reinforce the airport’s economic role in the region.
