Damascus, April 7 (SANA) – Syria’s Justice Ministry warned Tuesday against the circulation on social media of instructions, decisions and statements falsely attributed to the ministry or one of its departments, saying such materials are intended to mislead and cause harm.
In a circular received by SANA, the ministry said it bears no responsibility for any decisions, statements or information published on social media or through unofficial channels unless they appear on its official platforms. It added that the Judicial Inspection Department is likewise not responsible for any instructions circulated outside its approved official channels.
The ministry said those who publish such materials, as well as those managing websites or pages that distribute them, could face legal accountability under applicable laws, warning that such acts undermine trust in the ministry and its departments.
It also called on public prosecutors and judicial officials to monitor implementation of the circular and take the necessary legal measures.
The ministry stressed that its official decisions and circulars are considered valid only when published exclusively through its official channels, warning the public against relying on any material circulated outside those platforms.
