Aleppo, April 6 (SANA) – The “Purposeful Media Forum” opened Monday at the National Library Theater in Bab al-Faraj in the city of Aleppo, bringing together journalists and specialists as part of efforts to develop media discourse and strengthen its role in addressing societal issues.
The forum features a main seminar discussing the need for responsible and constructive media amid major social and political transformations, alongside a training workshop titled “Engineering Media Influence and Shaping Public Opinion.”
The program also includes an interactive youth corner titled “A Message from Today to Tomorrow,” in addition to networking sessions and discussions among participants.
Director of the Aleppo Media Department Abdul Karim Layla said the forum comes as part of efforts to organize and strengthen the media landscape following the liberation of the city, emphasizing the importance of media that reflects and defends issues affecting Syrian society.
Lecturer and youth affairs specialist Ali Haj Hanan noted that the event is being held at a sensitive stage for the country, stressing the significant role media plays in shaping public opinion and influencing social attitudes.
The forum aims to encourage constructive dialogue among media professionals and contribute to improving professional standards and public engagement in Syria’s media sector.
