A new Israeli incursion into Quneitra

Quneitra, April 6 (SANA) — An Israeli force entered an area between the villages of Ruwayhina and Zubayda al-Gharbiya in southern Quneitra countryside, southern Syria, on Monday, setting up a temporary checkpoint before withdrawing, according to SANA’s reporter.

The reporter said the force, consisting of three vehicles, stopped and searched passersby along the road linking the two villages. No arrests were reported during the operation.

The incursion marks the second such incident in the province in two days. On Sunday, an Israeli force entered the town of Jabatha al-Khashab in the northern Quneitra countryside.

Israel continues to carry out repeated incursions into southern Syria in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, alongside reported raids, detentions and land clearing operations.

Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, stressing that measures taken in the southern region are null and void under international law.
